Lazy Healthy 15-Minute Minimalist Bedtime Routine

I have, and could write a post about, my maximalist biohacking/ beauty-optimizing bedtime routine. This is not that post. This is a get-yourself-horizontal-while-slightly-optimizing-your-chance-at-sleeping-through-the-night routine.

Total time: 15 minutes.
No apps. No trackers. No glow-ups.

Minute 0–5: Lights go warm
I have my wifi set on a timer to turn itself off at 9:30pm which ends my Netflix binge without any self-control required.

I turn off overhead lights and keep an orange-bulb lamp on for the bathroom & bedroom. My nervous system starts slowing down.

Minute 5–10: Body basics

  • Brush teeth

  • Wash face

  • Put on comfy pajamas

Repetition is the magic. My body knows what comes next even if my brain doesn’t.

Minute 10–15: Bed + one gentle signal
I get into bed and do one calming thing to help my mind slow down:

  • Read a few pages

  • Review 3 gratitudes from that day

  • Select 3 words that will set tomorrow’s “vibe”

No pressure to meditate. No moral value assigned.
If it helps you land, it counts.

That’s the routine. Consistency > perfection. Always.
